54Gene’s first subdivision diagnostics hub dubbed 7RiverLabs alongside new centres designated for health sample collection, Techbooky Africa writes. 54Gene has reportedly influenced the healthcare sector with high-end technology to push diagnostics as a service across Africa. 7RiverLabs establishment also serves its parent company’s fundamental objective that makes diagnostics advanced with ease.

Just as 54Gene offers molecular diagnostics services that are available as third-party service to healthcare providers and or serving its patients directly, 7RiverLabs will continue its parent company’s reliable service with economic pricing. Remember 54Gene’s services is domineering the Nigerian healthcare marketplace — 7RiverLabs’ establishment is an expansion scheme aimed to encourage other potential patients and healthcare providers across Africa.

The new sample collection centres 54Gene stationed within the country will also create chances for employment, as well as other sample collection centres stationed across Africa. 54Gene serves as the bridge for Africans to experience advanced technology tackling chronic diseases and other health issues.

For context, the western world healthcare infrastructure is built with advanced technology that detects and prevents potential health issues. With standardized healthcare infrastructure, neither 54Gene nor its branched out 7RiverLabs diagnostics hub need not consult healthcare practitioners based overseas for clarified health analysis on chronic health issues via patients deposited test samples.

54Gene’s chief executive officer, Dr. Abasi Ene-Obong, and his boards of administrators confirmed Jude Uzonwanne’s appointment as 7RiverLabs ceremonial chief executive officer, while Jude continues to serve 54Gene as its chief business officer. Jude also confirmed 54Gene dubbed 7RiverLabs per the seven major rivers that flow through Africa.

Dr. Abasi also commended 7RiverLabs’ establishment that acknowledges the Nigerian Ministry of Health’s agenda to curb the mortality surge influenced by illegitimate diagnostics infrastructure revealing false health information. 7RiverLabs will also serve diagnostics hub that perform complex health test, viz: microbiology, infectious diseases, anatomic pathology, genetic sequencing, clinical chemistry, etc.

54Gene’s CEO assures 7RiverLabs healthcare service fee is tagged at an economic friendly rate when it becomes real-time accessible in 2022. As expected both 54Gene and 7RiverLabs will also serve as a bridge between third-party physicians communicating with their patients as a pair — starting with Nigeria, expanding across Africa.
