Recently, Google has introduced an application software that goes by the name Keen. The application resembles much like Pinterest. Even though the application was built as a part of the experiment, co-founder of the application, CJ Adams has mentioned that Keen is made for those who scroll through media mindlessly.

In a blog, Adams also mentioned that the algorithm of Keen works on a person’s interest. By extracting information on what the person wants to spend time, the algorithm filters the search and produces content as per the user’s desire. When a user is on Keen, it shows, “What Are You Keen On?”. Find out more on Keen below!

Keen: Overview

In Keen, you can opt for any topic that you like. For instance, baking a cake, cooking recipes, researching birds, calligraphy, or anything, and then Keen presents the related contents. It also gives you the option to be able to share it with your friends and family. All you’d have to do is save it like a bookmark.

Meanwhile, the launch of Keen came from an experimental group of people from an internal incubator. This team is also known as Area 120 team who are known for producing many applications every year as a part of the experimental process.

Among those, one is Keen which shares similar features like Pinterest which makes it a rival AI-powered application for now. Concerning that, the application is available on the Internet and can be downloaded and installed in Android smartphones.

Despite having similar protocols and algorithms on Pinterest, Keen is different. And, what makes it different- its machine learning ability. It helps in producing content based on what users are looking for. And through that search, more refined suggestions or rather beneficial contents appear.

How to Access Keen?

In order to access Keen, the first thing you need to do is open a web browser and then visit the official page Or, you can also get its application from the Android App Store, “Google Play”.

When you install the application on your smartphone, you’d be asked to create a profile or an account for yourself with the help of your Google Account credentials. Once you’ve filled in the details, you are now ready to explore.

At this point, you’d be asked to place a keyword or two keywords or a phrase. It can be anything you like, anything you want to discover more about. And, then hit the “Create” button. Now, the desired keyword will go through everything that is available on the internet and present the results to you.

Additionally, you can also share your Keen list with your family and friends and invite them to join. Or, if you don’t like what you created, you can always go back, delete them and make a new one. Whenever you create a Keen, you will have the option to enter a text or a link or even a section.

If you are browsing the website using a web browser and suddenly want to make a switch to the app, then you can also do that. Otherwise, you can remain on the web page and continue to create more keens.

The Official Google Post Says…

According to the official announcement, major authorities like CJ Adams explained that one may not be an expert in researching certain topics. However, using Keen, one can discover some great and resourceful links of information related to the topic. Over the course of time, through every bit of content, the search for the topic gets more refined for more discovery.

Google Made an official post where it can be concluded that Keen’s experimentation came out of two people sharing their information about what they like and what they want to find. The post further explains that using Keen, one can explore more ideas related to the topic and curate more contents related to it. And all of this is possible with the help of Machine Learning and Google Search.

In other words, Keen is a proactive application that becomes better in proving useful results in what might interest the user based on the previous search. The official announcement also explains that in Keen, you’d be able to add images, links, texts, and web searches.

This way, the optimizing algorithm starts to work on things that are added and all the other things that can be related to it.

Keen: Increase in Web Traffic

It can be easily said that Keen is a reason for web traffic to grow and become more popular with time. However, the recommendation to use a web platform or an application is much more powerful, when it comes from friends. That being said, Keen is actively participating in the Web ecosystem and helping the web content.

Keen is the next level source for increasing traffic. Because it can recommend the ideas to users after doing an active search. Meanwhile, any other search engine will wait for the user to ask them what they want to know. But, Keen is always active and suggests ideas related to the topic. Hence, it becomes a great competitor for Pinterest.

Concerning that, the use of Keen can be helpful to many companies and strategies. For example, business firms, IT, or Digital Marketing agencies. Professionals like Search Marketers, Web Publishers, or Web Bloggers can optimize the use of Keen under marketing or business strategies.

Your Search Ends Here!!!

So, if you’ve been searching for a medium to discover topics instantly, then this is Keen. Try it out as it’s available on Google Play. Or, you can simply surf its web page via a web browser. By the end of the day, you’ll have a bunch of links, resources, and ideas right in front of you. So, try it out today!
