Many of Amazon’s Fire TV devices, both new and old, will soon support Alexa Plus. The updated Alexa can still be called up with your voice, but it’s considerably more useful and better at retrieving context-sensitive information about what’s happening onscreen that you might often go for on your phone.

The company revealed a few ways that Alexa Plus enhances its X-Ray function, which provides additional information about the Prime Video material you are now viewing. As you watch, it can provide you with information about the background of an actor, the location of a TV show’s filming, or even teach you some knowledge about the subject.

One of the best things about Prime Video is that you can search for specific sequences in movies or TV series and get straight into the action.

The new Fire TV Omni QLED Series, which features a brand-new chipset and increases performance by 40%, was initially displayed to the public at Amazon’s Fall Hardware event.

There will be five sizes available for the new Mini-LED set, with the range being 50 to 75 inches. The new flagship Omni QLED from Amazon is also a competitor to Roku, with a starting price of $479. With significant upgrades, new 4-Series and 2-Series TVs are also hitting the market.

Amazon also unveiled the $40 Fire TV 4K Select, a small streaming device that would use the new Vega operating system (OS).

Amazon is currently accepting pre-orders for its new TVs and 4K Select, and shipments will begin the next month.

Leading the new Fire TV product line from Amazon is the flagship Omni QLED Series, which doubles the local dimming zones and adds a new processor to deliver significant performance gains. According to Amazon, these improvements enable the Mini-LED TV to have 60% more brightness and 40% faster responsiveness.

Although the performance improvements on paper seem exciting, we will need to test the flagship Fire TV Omni QLED in our lab to confirm these claims. Similar to TCL’s QM9K idea, Amazon is also promoting an Omnisense technology sensor that reads when you enter the room.

The redesigned 2-Series and 4-Series display models, which will come in sizes ranging from 32 to 55 inches, are also being introduced by Amazon. According to Amazon, these smaller screens can navigate up to 30% faster thanks to a new quad-core processor. To make the content on screen appear and feel much more immersive, they will also be equipped with incredibly thin bezels.

Amazon is currently accepting pre-orders for the new Fire TV line-up. While the 2-Series and 4-Series devices start at $159, the flagship Omni QLED is only $479. Sometime in October, shipments will start.

Amazon also unveiled a new 4K streaming stick to compete with Roku, as if the new Fire TV displays weren’t enough. Amazon claims that the $40 device’s incredibly fast speeds are due to a new operating system dubbed Vega.

The Fire TV 4K Select has access to the greatest streaming services and even cloud gaming platforms, just like all the other possibilities among the top Fire TV devices. From your streaming stick, you’ll be able to start playing Luna, Xbox Game Pass, or GeForce Now.

The adoption of Alexa+ over its whole range is even more intriguing. You can enjoy the best of Amazon’s AI engine on Fire TV devices with the aforementioned Fire TV range.

Amazon is also giving Alexa+ a number of additional features so that it may be used on Fire TV sticks and displays. These include searching Prime Video’s collection of films and television series, requesting your favourite teams’ live scores, or receiving real-time updates from your doorbell camera.

Soon, everyone will be able to see the variety of amazing information about your favourite television programs and motion pictures. The AI chatbot will provide all the answers you need whether you ask Alexa+ where the series was filmed or even something more direct about Taylor Kitsch.

Alexa+ handles everything after anyone ask it a simple request. Alexa+ and the Fire TV devices may now communicate directly, which simplifies content curation and smart home functionality.

The Fire TV 4K Select, like its TVs, is currently available for presale on Amazon for $39 and will be shipped on October 15. When the new Amazon devices appear in October, all of them will have Alexa Plus upgrades.

Netflix, HBO Max, and other services are also supported by the smart assistant; however, Amazon has not disclosed the extent of Alexa Plus’ integration with those apps. with addition to sharing scores and player statistics according to the event you’re viewing, Alexa Plus may assist you with accessing live sporting events on Prime Video, Sling TV, DirecTV, and Fubo.

The company’s new Fire TV 2- and 4-series, along with its new QLED variant, feature Alexa Plus. The new Fire TV Stick 4K Select will also get it. Additionally, it stated that “additional select Fire TV devices, including Panasonic and Hisense models,” will support it. The Fire TV Stick 4K, Fire TV Cube, and Fire TV Max will all have Alexa Plus.
