
Anthropic has introduced Claude Marketplace, a new way for enterprises to buy and manage access to third-party tools built on its Claude AI models, using the AI budget they already commit to the company.
The San Francisco-based startup, which has been rapidly rolling out new AI products and services, is launching the marketplace while it remains in a public dispute with the U.S. Department of War. That conflict has not slowed Anthropic’s product roadmap, which now extends beyond its own applications to a broader partner ecosystem.
Claude Marketplace allows enterprises that already have a spending commitment with Anthropic to direct part of that budget to tools and applications developed by external partners. According to Anthropic, early marketplace partners include GitLab, Harvey, Lovable, Replit, Rogo and Snowflake, all offering products powered by Claude models but sold through Anthropic’s new channel.
As described in Anthropic’s Claude Marketplace FAQ, the program is built to streamline how organizations procure AI tools and to consolidate their AI-related costs. Rather than negotiating and managing separate contracts and billing flows with each vendor, customers can acquire certain Claude-based partner solutions through Anthropic itself.
Purchases made via Claude Marketplace “count against a portion of your existing Anthropic commitment,” the company says. Anthropic also states that it will handle invoicing for partner spend, effectively letting enterprises draw down their pre-agreed Anthropic budget for these tools without setting up individual invoicing arrangements with each participating partner.
In practice, Anthropic is positioning Claude Marketplace as a centralized procurement layer for a specific set of Claude-powered partner offerings. For enterprises already invested in Claude, this could turn the Anthropic relationship into a broader gateway to AI-enabled software, not just model access.
Anthropic says Claude Marketplace is currently in limited preview. Enterprises interested in using it are instructed to contact their Anthropic account team to get started. The company has not detailed public timelines or broader rollout plans in the information provided so far.
The launch also sits alongside Anthropic’s own applications, including Claude Code and Claude Cowork. Those apps have been framed for many users as ways to redirect enterprise time and spending away from existing third-party software-as-a-service tools. By contrast, Claude Marketplace focuses on enabling third-party providers to sell Claude-powered products via Anthropic, while letting customers fund those purchases from their Anthropic commitments.
This places Anthropic in a dual role: provider of first-party AI applications and platform operator for partners building on its models. With marketplace billing tied to Anthropic commitments and invoicing handled centrally, the company is clearly emphasizing procurement simplicity and consolidated AI spend as key selling points for enterprise buyers.
