As Apple closed the curtains on the WWDC 2025 event, they introduced a new service program to address a “No Power Issue” that a few M2 Mac mini consumers are experiencing. Users who are impacted can get their Mac mini fixed for free.

According to Apple, the issue only affects a “very small percentage” of M2 Mac minis produced between June and November 2024.

According to Apple, the business made it clear that a very tiny portion of Mac mini (2023) computers that use the M2 processor might stop working. The gadgets in question were produced from June 16, 2024, until November 23, 2024.

This application does not include any other Mac mini models. To find out if your Mac mini qualifies for the program, you can visit Apple’s website and input its serial number.

Locate an Authorized Service Provider for Apple.

Schedule a visit to an Apple Retail Outlet.

According to Apple, the problem must be fixed first if your Mac mini “has any damage which impairs the ability to complete the repair.”

Apple introduces Service Programs to fix specific hardware problems. The Apple website has more information.

From the support page on Apple website further details says

Apple may limit or prohibit repairs to the nation or area where the item was originally purchased.

Your Mac mini’s normal warranty coverage is not extended by this global Apple program.

Eligible Mac minis are covered by the program for three years following the first retail sale.

To find out if their Mac mini is eligible for repair, owners who are having the problem can visit Apple’s website and use the Serial Number checker. The repair will be performed at no cost if it qualifies.

To examine the device’s underbelly or the original package packing will reveal the serial number. If you’re affected by the problem, you probably won’t be able to access it through the “About This Mac” Apple menu item.

For other repair options, get in touch with Apple Support if there isn’t an AASP in your area.

For three years following the first retail sale of the device, Apple is offering the new repair program to eligible Mac mini models. According to the firm, a user’s Mac mini’s normal warranty coverage is not extended by the global program.

Recently, the entire Mac mini commemorated its 20th anniversary.
