In a fusion of technology, innovation, and ingenuity, Apple Inc. is reportedly melding minds with South Korean tech giant, LG, to introduce a dazzling novelty to its iPhone repertoire – a foldable iPhone. Documented for a 2020 reveal, this foldable marvel may very well be the next explosion in the technological revolution.

According to reports published in Bell News, Apple and LG Display are investing substantial resources in the research and development of this iPhone model to integrate a flexible screen. This groundbreaking development will reimagine smartphones’ future. Apple will reportedly finance an LG plant responsible for manufacturing the innovative OLED flexible display screens, a testimony to their commitment to this endeavor.

To ensure the seamless fruition of this avant-garde prototype, LG Innotek, a segment of LG, is assembling a dedicated team. This team is tasked with designing the Flexible Printed Circuit Board or RFPCB, a crucial component for the foldable display. This progressive undertaking could concrete its foundation by 2020, as per the reports.

LG Display has notably established its prowess in shaping flexible displays over the years, thereby attracting a wide clientele. Another South Korean company, Samsung, has also illustrated expertise in this area. Nevertheless, Apple has chosen to ink this ground-breaking deal with LG. This collaboration is bound to infuse diverse perspectives, thus enhancing the distinctiveness of the end product.

Apple has enjoyed a long-standing alliance with LG. An investment of $2.70 billion in LG Display by Apple in July bears witness to this enduring partnership. Although currently, Samsung is the supplier of the OLED display for iPhone X, Apple is preparing to join forces with LG for this 2020 flexible display iPhone model. This shift will surely shape the company’s future product lineup.

In related news, Samsung is speculated to be working on a flexible display smartphone known as Galaxy X, expected to be launched next year. This unique device will make its inaugural appearance either at CES 2018 or MWC 2018, escalating the anticipation for these novel, flexible smartphones.
