Apple is now expanding the Map experience in more countries of the world. France, Monaco, and New Zealand will be the fourteenth, fifteenth, and sixteenth countries to receive more detailed maps.

At WWDC 2020, Apple made public the intention to equip more countries with the improved Apple Maps, a task Apple has periodically undertaken in various areas of the world. In an updated version of the app spotted recently spotted by Justin O’Beirne, users in France and Monaco a set to enjoy a better experience.

Users in the new territories that Apple is including will now see more detail and better renders of 3D objects in Apple Maps. In France, elements such as the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and Mont Saint-Michel with improved renders have been spotted in the update, as well as speed limit updates.

In Monaco and New Zealand, Apple maps showcased more detail, such as the numerous jetties of Monaco. A view of Auckland presented an introduction of 3D-rendered elements to the map.

According to reports, updates to the Maps in Germany and Singapore in April took about 47 days before hitting the public, hopefully, changes in this expansion in the new locations will be completed by July 15. This will be Apple’s fifteenth expansion of its new map data, covering 73 million people. This marks Apple’s third-largest expansion to date, in terms of population covered.

With WWDC 2022 just around the corner, chances are that Apple will unveil many more Apple Maps improvements, with continued investments making the service one of the best iPhone apps for navigation and exploration.
