As the popular saying goes, variety is the spice of life. Apple is bringing on a colour twist to its iPhone 12 and 12 mini. The giant tech company has unveiled a purple variant of the iPhone 12 and 12 mini. In its official statement, the tech company said that “this new colour beautifully accentuates the flat aluminium edges of iPhone 12, which are perfectly colour-matched to the precision milled back glass”
The iPhone 12 series is generally equipped with lots of eye-catching specifications. The iPhone 12 and 12 mini come with Ceramic Shield front cover that Apple says makes it one of the company’s most durable iPhones yet. They run on Apple’s A14 Bionic processor, come with advanced dual-camera system that Apple claims delivers powerful computational photography features and the highest video quality in a smartphone, with expansive edge-to-edge Super Retina XDR displays with OLED. While the iPhone 12 has a 6.1 inch screen, the screen display of the iPhone 12 mini is only 5.4 inches.
Regarding the new colour variant of the iPhone 12 and 12 mini, here is what Greg Joswiak, Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing at Apple had to say. “The incredible iPhone 12 is the most popular smartphone in the world, and the iPhone 12 family has over 99 percent satisfaction rate. The new purple finish, just in time for spring, adds another bright and fun option to the lineup, and we think customers are going to love it”. Currently the iPhone 12 and 12 mini are available in Black, White, Blue, Green and (PRODUCT) Red.
The new purple variant of the iPhone 12 and 12 mini will come in the usual 64GB, 128GB and 256GB models. It will also be available for pre-order starting from 5am PDT on April 23rd and will be available starting April 30th. Customers in the US, the UK, China, Japan, and more than 30 other countries will be able to pre-order the purple variant on the aforementioned date and time.
Apple continues to surprise its users with new innovations and designs. Who knows what color variants will be available for its imminent 13 series.
