Apple To Launch AR/VR Headsets Early Next Year

In a bid to reduce the constraints of mobile Virtual reality when customers are static or limited by the range of play area, Apple has switched up its game and is on the move to unleash to the public its latest mixed reality headset.

According to Bloomberg’s ‘Power On’ Newsletter, the intended Apple’s AR/VR headset, as a result of its higher-end characteristics and features would have to be more lenient towards the pricy side, as the tech-giant seeks to break forth all obstacles on its way to have it launched as early as next year.

There have been insinuations and claims around the unreleased mixed reality headset by Apple and this has been going on for some time, especially as Apple has been putting consumers in suspense on the new products.

Some analysts while predicting how the headsets would look like had claimed it would be labelled N301, while incorporating a high-resolution 8K display, together with its advanced chips and sensors.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman appeared to share some of these sentiments when he wrote in a newsletter:

 “Apple is planning to unleash its own pricey device with advanced chips, displays, sensor, and avatar-based features as early as next year.” 

Apple Glasses will simultaneously incorporate Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR).

“Apple’s first headset will be of the mixed reality variety. That means it will have both AR and VR capabilities. While gaming can be done in both environments, virtual reality is what you want for seriously high-performance games with top-tier graphics. For Apple’s first headset, that’s what it’s shooting for: a mixed reality experience that can handle games in high-quality virtual reality with snappy chips and high-end displays,” Gurman added to his newsletter.

There have been other rumours about the soon-to-be released product, with one of them positing that the new headset may actually shift its focus to augmented reality and also cover games.

Gurman believes that Apple aim is the integration of mixed reality experiences that has the capacity to deal with games in a much more advanced level of virtual reality.

Apple has for years been working on its mixed reality plan for years and it seems the wait will now finally be over.

A switch from Virtual Reality, which is hitherto the complete immersion experience that seeks to shut out the physical world to advancing to a Mixed Reality (MR.) experience that not only combines Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality, but allows digital objects interact, will be a great addition to Apple’s stock.
