Audi takes its next investment to South Africa to establish the unprecedented hardware solar-enabled infrastructure for charging electric vehicles. Audi South Africa reports investing R45 million to innovate the automobile industry debuting the high-end technology infrastructure for EV car charging stations in Africa.

The head of Audi South Africa, Sascha Sauer confirmed the massive hardware solar-enabled infrastructure deployment scheme by the EV maker in line with its corporate commitment to frontier penetrating Africa with EV technology.

The South African automobile market is about to experience innovation as Audi and its partners’ commune behemoth investment offerings to touch down in Africa.

Sauer said, “EVs are the future of mobility and we’re investing not just in hardware infrastructure…By fulfilling our promise from early 2022, we’re demonstrating our commitment to helping take SA into the future of mobility.”

Audi’s commitment to influencing Africans with EV technology currently trends the Western marketplace through Tesla’s domineering EV technology. The foreign automaker partnered with other tech giants such as Rubicon and GridCars to generate R45 million in investment funds to debut the hardware solar-enabled infrastructure in South Africa.

The EV technology infrastructure stationed in South Africa debuts as an expansion scheme to get closer to its African customers and other branded EV users. Audi and its investors are keen to deploy DC 200kW charger with solar power backup technology to bypass the local load-shedding menace to the state electricity service. The hardware infrastructure is built with ultra-fast EV chargers compatible with DC and AC power connectors.

“Load-shedding is a reality to which South Africans have become accustomed, it is worth pointing out that our charging network also capitalizes on solar installations, where possible, to keep the charging stations optimally operational,” Sauer said.

Audi South Africa and its partnership with Rubicon and GridCars are optimistic about the hardware solar-enabled infrastructure deploying across South Africa before its close counterpart, Tesla. South African EV owners branded by Audi are entitled to the EV charging station which is designed with an interoperable charging connectivity system to power other EVs by other brands.

The million Rands investment Audi injects in the South African automobile industry will influence solutions on the load-shedding electricity default menacing the country. The foreign automaker will network a private security system to tackle the electrical challenges menacing South Africa by protecting its infrastructural investment, Techbooky Africa writes.
