The current president of America, Joe Biden has reportedly retracted a series of the former president’s orders that banned most of Chinese’s enterprise existing on U.S. soil. Donald Trump’s administration believed these Chinese tech firms pose a threat to America’s security — so he issued an order that stopped the download of TikTok, WeChat, and other Chinese-related platforms.

Relentlessly, Trump’s administration also ordered a thorough investigation on these companies aiming to prove that the Chinese tech companies have consorted to counter America’s safety.

Still, the former American president insisted on attempting to enforcing the law that restricts Chinese-owned social media. While WeChat and TikTok agreed to abide by Trump’s orders, Techbooky writes.

It worth noting that, the U.S courts did not assign Trump’s orders which made the former president’s order less effective. Still, the autonomous national security review on TikTok — the short video sharing App’s investigation is active since 2019 till date. Even the current administration seems concerned about the data risks of TikTok users.

Joe Biden’s administration is also concerned about the risks on national security from the Chinese software applications. He assigned the Commerce Department to scrutinize TikTok’s business — a short-timed investigation that requires recommendations within three months, including both acquired or accessed sensitive data by foreign companies.

TikTok and WeChat are yet to officially comments on Biden’s latest judgment. The lead lawyer for the WeChat Users Alliance, Michael Bien, appraised Biden’s deceleration while noting his plans to sue Trump’s administration to avoid a possible shutdown of the tech company he advocates.

WeChat and TikTok has reportedly gained millions of downloads by its U.S. user-base overtime — the Chinese social media is also efficient for online payment and gaming. “The wrong-headed ban on WeChat that … would have led to the unprecedented shutdown of a major platform for communications relied on by millions of people in the United States,” Micheal said.

The current presidential administration in the States has reportedly retracted several orders the previous administration has enforced — alongside the TikTok and WeChat ban Trump issued, including the eight other Chinese telecom and financial services company, such as Alipay, Tencent Holdings, QQ Wallet, Ant Group, and WeChat, etc. Trump added in January prior to leaving the White House.

Still, none of these companies has filed a lawsuit against Trump’s administration. It is no doubt that TikTok and WeChat were believed to threaten America because they usually collect personal user data — Trump’s ban was avoiding the possibility of this accumulated information being forwarded to their domestic government.

Biden acknowledges Trump’s consent about threatening their relations with foreigners due to minor information with great vulnerabilities. Biden then directed the DoJ and the Commerce Department to duly follow up with the Chinese tech companies to avoid possible catastrophe on the American digital economy.
