Windows Phone users have long had access to BlackBerry’s popular messaging app, BBM. The initial announcement was through a video post which confirmed that BBM had successfully transitioned from its beta phase and would then be promptly available for download in the Windows Phone store. This version of the app was designed with careful attention to compatibility with Microsoft’s mobile operating system, resulting in a clean, navigable user interface, different from those available on iOS, Android, and BlackBerry OS 10. The BBM for Windows primarily focuses on three core features: chats, feeds, and contacts. It even offers the ability to pin a chat directly to a phone’s start screen. Windows Phone users newer to BBM can find instructions in an introductory video. Despite BBM being live in the Windows Phone store for some time now, it is noteworthy that it wasn’t immediately available after the original post of this article.
