Cellulant, a Kenyan payments Company entered a five-year partnership with GAINDE 2000, a Senegal-based trade facilitations systems provider, to provide end-to-end infrastructure payments and solutions for governments and multinationals.

The partnership will combine GAINDE2000’s e-government solutions with Cellulant’s payment solutions to be able to provide a comprehensive regional end-to-end technology payments solution throughout the African continent. Providing this digital platform will meet African governments’ need to improve their trade environment, meet the challenges of payments and reduce time and cost in trade transactions.

Daniel SARR, Regional Executive Director of GAINDE 2000 says the partnership with Cellulant is not only a milestone in their journey to facilitate trade formalities, but it also represents a dramatic shift for the future of financial trade-related transactions, security operations and human-driven applications.

What is the feasibility of this partnership?

GAINDE 2000 has a wide range of functionalities and allows traders and shipping companies to submit customs declarations online. This basic service it gives, has grown into the design, implementation and operation of digital platforms for governments and businesses.

Cellulant on its own provides Tingg, a single digital payments platform that addresses complex payments for both governments and businesses. It connects thousands of businesses with 154 payment options and 35 countries.

With both partners holding the fort properly from their ends, the partnership will sure meet its goal of offering digital services through out Africa.
