Chargel is currently making waves in real-time and on the internet since the startup logistic company debuted in 2022 to leverage transportation and shipping cargo for the Senegalese population. The logistic start-up has reportedly experienced altered growth having bagged $2.5 million rounding up the seed fundraising deal.

Chargel is ready to continue promoting its logistics solutions as a business which attracted several investors to offer seeds that rounded up at $2.5 million. The Senegalese brothers bagged investment to further their startup company business plan to alter the growth of their customer base with unlimited clients.

The logistic start-up company was established by two Senegalese brothers Moustapha and Alioune Ndoye who took a passion for leveraging logistics solutions. These two tech-savviest debuted Chargel to focused trucking logistic solutions — they currently evolved and added cargo shipping to its list of services suitable for the local marketplace.

According to the start-up company’s report about its new development, the extra business capital will organically promote its logistics services to attract more clients such as investors and customers. Chargel said its customer base is as limited as serving ten clients that depend on the Senegalese logistic start-up to transport their respective shipments.

“We realized that there were so many inefficiencies and that the logistics sector in Senegal was so fragmented, but we felt that technology could help. So, we decided to be drivers for a few months to understand how the sector works, its real challenges, and where the opportunity was, before building something,” Moustapha said.

However, the seed round Chargel completed was led by Logos Ventures. Ventures Platform, Foundation Botnar, DFS Labs, and Seedstars also participated in the round, which also included a $500,000 debt. The funding also includes $750,000 it announced last year.

The two concurred about debuting the logistics start-up based on the ”demand that is not just in Senegal; some of the clients we work with, like Maersk for example, serve nine countries out of the Senegalese office. Of course, they want us to be in those countries.”

Prior to debuting the logistics start-up company, Moustapha and Alioune ventured into developing a hospitality tech startup, Teranga. In 2018, the hospitality tech startup came to the limelight in its local marketplace where the Senegalese brothers sold out Teranga for an undisclosed amount.

The logistic start-up company was the next best thing the Senegalese brothers ventured into to keep their hands occupied with serving its local marketplace via trucking business solutions. Moustapha and Alioune ventured has been exploring the Senegalese technology marketplace to comprehend fleet management is a major challenge and one that largely influences the level of profits to be made by truck owners who patronize the Chargel debut.
