ChatGPT is releasing Spotify Wrapped in its own version. In other words, qualifying customers in a few locations, including the US, can now use the OpenAI-owned chatbot’s yearly review feature, “Your Year with ChatGPT.” Which is the first-ever customised year-end evaluation, “Your Year with ChatGPT,” formally introduced by OpenAI this Christmas week.
The tool gives customers a data-driven view of their interactions with AI over the previous year, mirroring Spotify Wrapped’s visual and social approach..
The new feature is also available in other English-speaking areas, such as Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
The company informed members of the press through an email letter that the functionality will be available at launch to users of the free, Plus, and Pro plans who have enabled the “reference saved memories” and “reference chat history” options and have reached a minimum discussion activity threshold.
The “Your Year with ChatGPT” feature will not work with Team, Enterprise, or Education accounts. The experience is also intended to be “lightweight, privacy-forward, and user-controlled,” according to the business.
Like other yearly reviews provided by consumer applications, “Your Year with ChatGPT” draws influence from Spotify Wrapped, a well-known year-end look back. Similar to Spotify’s functionality, OpenAI employs eye-catching visuals and tailors the experience to each user by awarding “awards” based on how they have used ChatGPT over the course of the year.
For example, you can receive the title of “Creative Debugger” if you thought through a concept or idea or used the chatbot to solve a problem.
Additionally, the app produces an image and a poem about your year that are centred around your interests. (As ChatGPT adopts adult content in 2026, we’re wondering how this will appear the following year.)
The ChatGPT app’s home screen will advertise the year-end wrap-up, but users won’t be compelled to open it or have it open automatically.
According to a statement from the company, it will be accessible through the ChatGPT mobile app for iOS and Android as well as the online app.
To start the experience, users can also ask ChatGPT directly for “Your Year with ChatGPT.”
For qualified users, who will be willing to access this. From the Home screen prompt, there is a banner or card usually shows up on the ChatGPT mobile app’s home screen.
Many users are successfully asking the bot manually by entering “Make me a ChatGPT Wrapped summary like a Spotify Wrapped showing my usage this year” if the feature hasn’t yet been added.
According to OpenAI, the experience is “lightweight and privacy-forward,” which means that the recap is completely user-controlled and does not open automatically.
The feature is available to users on Free, Plus, and Pro plans.
