Jack Ma, co-founder , Chairman and the richest man in China is interested in partnering with Apple Pay using Alipay.

Again at a Wall street journal conference, Mr. Ma said “I’m very interested in that,” and “I hope we can do something together.”

Ma spoke very well of the Apple CEO, Tim Cook. He didn’t confirm though that there was anything in the works with Apple just yet. Mr Ma has a majority stake in Alipay which operates closely like PayPal.

Mr. Cook has since reciprocated the interest in his own interview with the Wall street journal. He also confirmed that they both will talk soon about a potential partnership between both platforms.
