It’s cool that your business has a website but sometimes it still isn’t enough to have the edge you need above your competitors. That is why every business needs an app. While it was ok not to have a business app in the past, the modern age requires you to have one. Besides, according to statistics, at least 90 percent of people spend their time on mobile apps. And if you are looking to increase your customer traffic, a business app is the call you should make. But how do you create a business app for androids in the first place? We discuss a step to step guide to get you started.

Step one: choose an app builder

People otherwise assume that to create an app; you have to spend a fortune. And even more to pay someone with coding skills to do it for you. Plus, the time it will take you to get the app up and running is ridiculously a lot. If you have no idea how to create an app for android, or no coding skills at all, you can still make your own app. There are online platforms you can easily create your business app with no skill at all. And remarkably, at half the time it will take you to create one from scratch without these platforms.

Step two: start the process

Now that you chose your app builder, we can get to work. If you already have a business name, you need to key it in your app’s name. You can then select the category of your app. In this case, you will key in business. You will then have to choose a color theme. It is always wise to go with the color theme of your brand, logo, or company. That way, your app, and your business will communicate in uniformity.

Step three: customize your app

Your goal isn’t to create just any app. It is to create one that speaks volumes about your business. But it does so uniquely that it can make you stand out. That is why you need to customize it. Customizing is just a fancy term to mean tailoring it to your specifications. On the app builder platform you choose, there will be a design customization section. Click on that. Let us discuss some features you need to add to your app.

Icon- the app icon is necessary. It is the one that your customers will recognize your business app before installing it. And therefore, you should choose the icon to be something they are familiar with, such as your business logo.

Splash screen- your background is also essential. You can choose to go with block colors here. Or you can use an image for the environment. You can even use one from your gallery. A splash screen is the first impression that you will make on your clients. And it would be best if you got it right. There are excellent graphics available that you can use for a perfect splash screen.

The layout- implies the way you organize things in the app. You can pick one from the ones available that speak about your personality.

Fonts and colors- you can choose a different color for each section. Either way, make it consumable and customer friendly.

You then have to choose the platform where you should test your new app. The best platform to pick is usually the one your customers mostly use. If you are unsure about the device platform they like, you can conduct quick research. In this case, you can pick an android. Then you can use the QR Code to get the app on your phone.

Step four: testing

It is always wise to take a new creation for a test run before you launch it. You can now successfully install it on your android and test it. From your experience, you can tell what you didn’t like about it. And that calls for editing. When you edit the app, you are free to add more features as you see fit. The features you add should work to enhance your customer experience. Once you feel like it is good to go, you can take it for another test run. There is no limit to the number of times you can test your app before launching it. Besides, you would want to ensure that it works just perfectly before your clients can use it.

Final take

Now, that wasn’t so hard, was it? Congratulations, you successfully created your business app. You can directly publish the app. And start marketing it for your clients to know about it.
