We are excited and honored to share that TechBooky Team, Nigeria, the principal organizers of the innovative Emerge Tech Summit 2015, cordially invite you to participate in this groundbreaking international Technology Summit located in the heart of Nigeria, Abuja.

The summit, woven from fabric of collaboration and knowledge, serves as the premiere hub for budding Technology entrepreneurs across the African continent. It brings together a dynamic community of web, mobile app, software, internet security, cloud, and microchip processing developers with a unified goal of revolutionizing Africa’s tech landscape. The 2015 edition of the Emerge Tech Summit will take place at the prestigious Sheraton Hotel & Towers in Abuja, Nigeria, from December 8th to 9th, 2015.

Our mission for the summit is built on synergy between global trends, innovations and local expertise. We aim to:

  • Enlighten participants about current global trends in technology development.
  • Equip budding developers with potent tools and techniques required for creating tomorrow’s technology.
  • Create a fertile environment that nurtures creativity and innovation while encouraging an exchange of constructive ideas.
  • Stimulate the growth of technology startups and generate the attention of technology investors with expansion interests in Africa.

Paul O. Balo, the founder of Emerge Tech Summit and TechBooky, highlights, “The rise in demand for new technology to tackle prevalent challenges has given birth to a new breed of developers from Nairobi to Johannesburg to Lagos. Even though organizations have started to recognize and appreciate local developers, there remains a level of dissatisfaction among clients when they compare locally derived solutions with global standards. Currently, there are hundreds of thousands of tech jobs lacking the best minds to fill them. We aim to bridge this elaborate gap and reignite the faith in homegrown talent.”

At the heart of Emerge 2015, we comprehend the crucial need to constantly retrain developers and IT staff across the African continent. The Emerge Tech Summit intends on reshaping the standard summit model by focusing on capacity-building, rather than just hosting general presentations. Our break-out sessions will flaunt the best minds from the tech world, promising an enriching and enlightening experience. We strive to change the narrative by transforming these sessions into interactive classes, equipped with full educational facilities, such as boards, markers and projectors.

Emerge Tech Summit 2015 will play host to a myriad of respected speakers such as Prof. Umar Dabatta (Executive Vice Chairman/CEO), Peter Jack (DG NITDA), Daniel Steeves (Cloud computing specialist/Author), Dr. Ope Banwo (CEO, Afrinet Business Solutions Inc), David Olumuyiwa Dada (CRO, CherryBrooks Media), Michael Simeon (CEO and Co-founder, VoguePay), Stephen Akintayo (Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Akintayo Consulting International), Nkem Mpamah, Tunde Sodeinde, Hannah Oyewole (CEO and Founder, Young Ladies Club), Dr. Bashir Gwandu (Chairman, Commonwealth ITU Group), and Paul Sheedy (CEO/Founder, Reward Technology).

We look forward to your participation and contribution to this grand spectacle.

Sincerely,

Mohammed I. Jega
