Facebook Introduces Professional Mode For Creator Profiles

Of course, it’s not a new thing that social media platforms are constantly trying new ways and introducing new programs targeted at engaging creators, providing them with opportunities to unlock revenue and gain access to tools to help them grow their audience. With that goal in mind, Facebook rolls out of professional mode for profiles, this move comes with the aim of allowing creators to take advantage of additional monetization tools. The new mode would also be giving creators access to features that would aid in tracking the growth of their audience. Before now this mode was only known to be available to Facebook Pages.

The social media platform announces that by turning on professional mode, creators have a chance to partake in the Reels Play bonus program. A program created by Meta to help creators earn bonuses or sustainable income while doing what they love. Creators can earn this money based on performance, earnings, or content challenges by reaching key milestones, achievements and building the community on Facebook. Reels, Instagram’s short-term video feature, was introduced on Facebook in September. Creators earn as much as $35,000 / month, depending on Reels view they can rack up. However, all creators aren’t eligible for the program — for now, it’s invite-only, and creators must obey Meta’s Partner Monetization Policies to qualify.

Additionally, Facebook reveals that plans are in motion for more advanced editing features for Reels. These advanced features will comprise easier ways to create a Reel comprised of multiple clips, as well as the ability to save Reel as a draft while in the process of editing. Facebook is also seriously considering extending the time limit of the Reels platform from 30 seconds to 1-minute, the same amount of time Instagram Reels supports at the moment.

Away from Reels now and back to the former, professional mode unlocks audience, post, and profile insights, giving the creators the ability to keep track of any activity on their profile. Creators can have a first-hand look and even review the total number of shares, comments, and reactions that their posts generate and can absolutely view how their follower count has changed over time.

Another unique thing quite similar to Pages is that, as a creator enabling professional mode makes all your posts public. That simply means that anyone can access your profile and even start following you. Meta discloses that creators can still choose to make certain posts visible to friends only. For now, the Professional mode is only available in the US, more countries would be reached “in the coming months,” says Meta.

Facebook recently introduced the Stars store, a website fully dedicated to the purchase of Stars. For many wondering what Stars is, it’s otherwise known as a virtual currency user can purchase using real money, Stars can be used to tip creators. While Stars are currently available for purchase within the Facebook app, the Stars on Facebook’s new store come at discounted prices.
