Come June 22, Users of Facebook will be able to create and share short sound clips from a podcast. This was earlier  announced April this year by the popular social network platform.

This enables Facebook users create sound clips from any of their favourite shows and instantaneously share them with friends on Facebook pages. Episodes of these selected podcasts will also appear under a new Podcasts tab that is yet to be made live but was revealed by Facebook in April. This social media giant has also released il terms and conditions for it’s podcast,  that can be viewed  by anyone.

Podnews earlier report indicated the release date features of Facebook’s new podcast. According to reports, podcast publishers have been receiving the emails from Facebook giving signals that there may be a wider rollout than it was initially planned.

Facebook  has also released to the public its terms and conditions for publishing podcasts on its platform, in the process obliging publishers agree to and  consent to them before they are published on its platform.

The terms and conditions though fair enough, doesn’t give a comprehensive information about  what Facebook social media platform can do when the podcasts published on its platform.

Facebook will also ensure there’s an option to podcast publishers to make a decision whether they wish to enable clips option. It is reported the clips, which are up to a minute in length, will be made and shared by listeners in a bid to “help increase visibility and engagement” by intending users. A feature like this is also available for users on Twitch too.

On April 2021, Facebook had made an announcement about Soundbites, that  will particularly allow users to create short and shareable audio clips in the News Feed on the Facebook platform.

The Mark Zuckerberg owned platform has announced it will allow podcast hosts to connect their RSS feed to Facebook, allowing  the social media platform to automatically generate News Feed posts for every new podcast episodes. These episodes will automatically be visible and shown under a new Podcasts tab on a Facebook page.

We say Voila and maybe Facebook up this tempo in the coming days.
