French’s finance minister Bruno Le Maire has accused Apple and Google for imposing “abusive” contractual terms on French startups and developers.

Le Maire told a radio station of his plans to take the tech giants to Paris commercial court , Reuters reports. Criticizing the giant’s practices, and also  explains how the companies imposed prices on developers and how they have the power to unilaterally rewrite their contracts.

According to the Financial Times, Le Maire also added saying “All that is unacceptable and it’s not the economy that we want. They can’t treat our startups and developers the way they do.

He also explained that October last year , Apple CEO Tim cook met with President Macon to discuss a decision to extract more taxes from tech companies in the country, while Google avoided paying a back taxes charged of about $1.3 billion after the Paris court ruled that it had “no taxable presence “ in the country.

Le Maire also said in high hopes he expects the European Union to close tax loopholes that will  benefit Google, Apple, Facebook  and Amazon by the start of 2019.

In an interview with Google’s spokeswoman Mathilde Mechin said: “We believe our terms comply with French laws and are looking forward to making our case in court.” An Apple spokeswoman did not respond to requests for comment.
