The Microsoft owned professional social network service LinkedIn, is about to get a major upgrade, gaming. Yes, you heard that right. The platform known for networking and career advancement is venturing into the realm of gaming to entice users and keep them engaged.

TechCrunch has the scoop and reported over this weekend that LinkedIn is cooking up a new gaming experience to inject some fun into the professional sphere. And they’re not just dipping their toes in the water—they’re diving headfirst into the puzzle craze that’s taken the internet by storm. Imagine Wordle-level addiction, but tailored for the LinkedIn crowd.

Three tantalizing titles—“Queens,” “Inference,” and “Crossclimb”—are in the works, promising to captivate players and spark lively conversations. But this isn’t just about mindless entertainment; LinkedIn is flipping the script by potentially ranking companies based on employee scores. Talk about gamifying the workplace!

BREAKING: #LinkedIn is working on IN-APP GAMES!

There are going to be a few different games and companies will be ranked in the games based on the scores of their employees!

While there’s no official launch date yet, LinkedIn has confirmed the buzz, hinting at a puzzle-filled future for the platform. A spokesperson teased, “We’re playing with adding puzzle-based games within the LinkedIn experience to unlock a bit of fun, deepen relationships, and hopefully spark the opportunity for conversations.”

But wait, there’s more. Behind LinkedIn’s gaming gambit looms its powerhouse parent company, Microsoft, a titan in the gaming industry. With big brands like Xbox under its belt and its most recent acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft knows a thing or two about gaming prowess. Is LinkedIn about to tap into this gaming goldmine? The plot thickens.

Gaming isn’t just child’s play; it’s big business and you can ask Microsoft to tell its gaming story. From mobile apps to PC powerhouses, gaming commands attention and revenue like no other. And let’s not forget the allure of puzzle games, a perennial favourite among casual gamers. LinkedIn is banking on this winning formula to level up its user engagement.

In a digital landscape where innovation is key, LinkedIn is no stranger to experimentation. From educational initiatives to news features, the platform has continually evolved to meet the demands of its audience. Now, with gaming on the horizon, LinkedIn is poised to redefine professional networking in a whole new way.

So, dust off your thinking caps and get ready to play a little after all, all work and no play on “LinkedIn” will make many dull Jacks. With LinkedIn entering the gaming arena, the future of networking just got a whole lot more fun. Stay tuned for updates, because the game is just getting started.
