Without much fanfare, Google has introduced a new application simply known as ‘“Interactive Events”‘. An ambitious project on Google’s roadmap, this app is finally seeing the light of the day. Currently, tech enthusiasts can download the app from Google’s official play store. For users who lean towards accessing the app on desktops, a web link is available as well.
Although the application is not available for iOS users at the moment, the anticipation doesn’t make it any less exciting. While there are already a handful of apps offering similar services, what distinguishes this app is its direct linkage to Google. Users can seamlessly connect with their Google services, leading us to anticipate a surge in the application’s usage. To exemplify, an event posted on the app could be set to auto-publish on your Google+ account.

The ingenious strategy that Google is likely to adopt to get the users onboard with this app is through its upcoming events. For instance, its Google I/O developer conference scheduled for May could possibly only send notifications through this innovative events app.

Upon launching the app for the first time, one is greeted with a brief introduction and necessary legal information regarding the use of the app. It clearly points out your responsibilities as a user and takes you through their privacy policy, terms of service, and data usage policy.
To keep users informed, the application notes that event organizers may have access to their notes and responses and advises them to refrain from sharing confidential information. Google reassures users by providing information on how their data is treated and protected, as stated in Google’s Privacy Policy.
This innovative application is yet another benchmark from Google, promising a user-friendly interface and seamless integration with other Google services. Although iOS and other platform users might have to wait a little while for its introduction on their respective stores, the anticipation could well be worth the wait.
