Samsung announced that it “aims to be the first” to incorporate Google Photos into TVs natively into its AI TV line-up starting in early 2026. The goal is for Google Photos to function flawlessly with Samsung’s enhanced Bixby, Vision AI Companion. The Google Photos features is like “Memories” which will be natively accessible on a non-Google TV platform for the first time thanks to this agreement. With photographs showing up while using the TV’s operating system during “contextual and convenient moments,” this would aid in integrating user photos into the regular TV experience.

The key features and timelines, according to the business, is one in which there will be three new ways for customers to browse their Google Photos libraries. The first, named Memories, which will debut in March 2026, will comprise carefully chosen visual narratives arranged according to individuals, locations, and significant events. For six months, it will only be available on Samsung TVs; after that, it might be made available on other platforms.

Create with AI (H2 2026) where users can apply themed templates, remix photos using Google’s Nano Banana (a DeepMind image generation model), or animate still images using the “Photo to Video” tool.

TVs will produce themed slideshows based on particular subjects like “hiking” or “Paris” as part of Personalised Results (H2 2026).

Google DeepMind’s picture generation and editing model will be used by Create with AI, allowing users to use themed templates to use AI to alter their photos. The tool will also enable users to create a brief video from any still photograph. The second part of 2026 is when Create with AI is expected to launch.

Lastly, based on specific subjects or the content of an image, Personalised Results will produce themed slideshows of users’ photos. Samsung cited Paris, the seashore, and trekking as examples. The latter part of 2026 is when this is also scheduled to launch.

The integration and compatibility for the Samsung Vision AI Companion is one in which  Samsung’s AI-powered Vision AI Companion will integrate Google Photos into the TV’s operating system.

The Daily+ and Daily Board Instead of being limited to a solo app, photos will appear contextually throughout the day in standby modes and widgets.

The Supported Models for the Crystal UHD U8000 Series and higher Samsung AI TV models from 2026 will be the first to feature the integration. Future OS updates may bring similar functionality to older devices that are currently on the market.

And the requirements for users must have backed-up images or videos with Google Photos’ “Memories” setting enabled and log in using a Google Account.
