Google just stirred the tech world by unveiling a revolutionary product, a router named OnHub. Announced on its official blog, Google establishes a fresh and evolved approach to Wi-Fi using this nifty gadget. Google’s OnHub router is different, intended to redefine internet access, promising fast, secure, and easy-to-use Wi-Fi to the contemporary consumer.

So, what makes this router stand out amidst its competition?

First off, the visually striking design of Google’s OnHub router begs for attention. Its sleek cylindrical hull houses 13 antennae; 12 dedicated for broadcasting the signal and one specifically for monitoring the network congestion in the vicinity. This makes it useful particularly in high-density areas or places where multiple people are connecting simultaneously, ensuring a smooth and reliable internet experience no matter the crowd.

OnHub simplifies and lifts the router experience to the next level. It does all the regular duties of a typical router but in a more enhanced and user-friendly manner. To provide convenience, Google has rolled out a dedicated app, Google On for Android and iOS, which facilitates setting up, managing and monitoring the network. This minimizes the average time spent fiddling with the router and confines the various multicolored indicator lights to a thing of the past. Your network status will now be visible on your mobile screen at any given time.

Besides, the Google On app assures a smooth ride with password management; it saves your password and conveniently shares it with your guests via text—a real game-changer for entertaining or hosting.

The setup of the OnHub router itself is incredibly easy and futuristic; it locates your phone using sound – yes, you heard that right. This ease of use paired with its innovative design makes this router a real players in the world of tech.

Now to the big question – pricing and availability. The router is valued at $199/40,000 Naira as of this reporting, and following Google’s blog post, it sold out almost instantly. But don’t fret, it will soon be available in other stores too. However, the initial shipments will be catered to the US and Canada.

For those residing in African nations who want to indulge in this exclusive gadget, hold tight for a few weeks until it is more widely available. Buying through a trusted acquaintance residing in the US or Canada might be the fastest route to get your hand on one of these.

With all these cutting-edge features and the fact that it’s sold out almost instantly after its announcement, it indeed looks like Google’s OnHub router is a distinct advancement and a breath of fresh air in the world of routers. Google’s leap into the Wi-Fi scene with OnHub’s exciting capabilities raises the bar for future router technology.
