Just a couple of weeks ago, Google announced their exciting plans to unveil a brand new phone, and on October 4, they certainly delivered. However, Google didn’t simply launch a phone – they heavyweight tech company introduced us to the Pixel. This article is devoted to delving into the intriguing details of the Pixel phone, the latest in Google’s line of technological marvels.

The Pixel has been proudly touted as a phone “made by Google.” But, to be more precise, it was manufactured by HTC under Google’s expert design guidance. This collaboration emits echoes of Apple’s “designed in California, assembled in China” approach to their iconic iPhone.

Moving on from the creators, let’s examine the object of our interest – the new Pixel. Like Apple, Google offers their flagship phone in two sizes, ergo the names Pixel and Pixel XL. Beyond the dimensions, there is a variation in resolution. To give you a clearer perspective, let’s break down the specific features of the new phones.

– **Display and Resolution:** The Pixel sports a 5-inch 1080p display, while the larger Pixel XL features a 5.5 inches panel with Quad HD resolution.

– **Processor:** Both Pixel models are armed with the latest Snapdragon 821 processor.

– **Software:** Both phones operate under Android 7.1 Nougat, keeping users abreast of the freshest software and security updates directly from Google.

– **Camera:** The camera in the new Pixels is a photographer’s dream come true. Or to put it professionally, the phone camera breezily bagged a score of 89 in DxOMark, the highest score registered thus far. The camera encompasses a 12.3-megapixel resolution with large 1.55-micron pixels and an f/2.0 aperture. The Intelligent mode called ‘smartburst’ allows you to take rapid-fire sequences of pictures, selecting the best shot using advanced internal algorithms, much like Microsoft’s ‘Pix’ feature.

In addition to the stellar standard capabilities, the new Pixel camera also boasts a feature called Lens Blur. This allows photographers to achieve shallow depth of field and bokeh effects, effectively making subjects stand out. Enhancements like new exposure controls and inbuilt video stabilization mechanisms make for an exceptional photographic experience. Whether it’s the “best camera ever,” as Google claims, is ultimately up to the users to decide.

– **Google Assistant:** Meet your new personal helper. The Pixel phone is the first to receive Google Assistant, which connects you to unlimited information via Google’s comprehensive search engine. From hunting down old pictures to playing music or navigating locations mentioned in text messages, this nifty assistant makes multitasking a breeze.

– **Unlimited Storage:** Capture memories without worrying about space. Google offers Pixel users unlimited storage for full resolution images and videos in the cloud.

– **Battery and Communications:** With fast charging, you can gain up to 7 hours of power with just 15 minutes of charging. Also, with the 24-hour phone support, a tech support personnel can troubleshoot your Pixel by viewing your screen.

– **Storage and Memory:** Both models come equipped with 4GB RAM and the choice of either 32GB or 128GB storage.

– **Connectivity:** The Pixel phones come with Bluetooth and USB-C compatibility.

– **Chassis:** Contrary to the iPhone 7, the Pixel retains its 3.5mm headphone jack and boasts an aluminum body.

As for pricing, the 5 inch Pixel with 32GB storage costs $649 and is available for [pre-order](https://store.google.com/product/pixel_phone?utm_source=tw_store&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=DaydreamBundle10/4/16). The Pixel with 128GB storage is available for $749. With regard to the Pixel XL, the 32GB version costs $769 while the 128GB version costs $869.

The Pixel phones are available in black or silver, with an exclusive blue option for Verizon customers in the US.

In summary, the Pixel phone packs a powerful punch with stellar features such as a high-grade camera, Google Assistant, unlimited cloud storage, and state-of-the-art design, truly testifying to Google’s relentless innovation in the realm of smartphone technology.
