In an era where privacy is paramount, especially on platforms boasting nearly 1.5 billion active users, taking control of what information you share is essential. One way to enhance privacy is by making your Facebook profile picture non-clickable. Why? Because your profile picture often says a lot about you and sometimes, less is more.

By shielding your profile picture, you go a step ahead in controlling what people see about you on Facebook. It’s a phenomenal way of maintaining a professional look, whilst retaining control over one’s privacy. To do this, you will first need to navigate to your Facebook dashboard by signing in to your account.

Once logged in, direct your attention towards the profile section by clicking on your name or profile picture on the home screen. This will direct you to your profile page.

Upon successfully landing on your profile page, find and click on your profile picture, conveniently placed towards the top left of your screen. This will trigger an informative drop-down box, with a small gear icon, typically symbolizing settings in the digital world. Go ahead and click on this gear icon.

As your last step on this journey, select the ‘Only Me’ option from the drop-down menu of the gear icon. Performing this action ensures that only you, the account owner, can access information linked to your profile picture.

Mastering your privacy on Facebook has never been easier. You have now successfully taken control of your profile picture’s accessibility, thus adding an extra layer of security to your Facebook presence.
