Before now, many have had to turn to Google in order to get haptic feedback on their keyboard as the search company 2019 made haptic feedback available on the Gboard keyboard for iPhone. iOS 16 is bringing haptic feedback to your keyboard and from all looks, it will definitely give a spin, especially for users. It’ll be interesting to see how much of a difference it makes while using the stock keyboard with haptics.
Haptic keyboard feedback is just one of numerous iOS 16 updates Apple previewed at the 2022 WorldWide Developers Conference which kicked off on Monday. The feature will reportedly be disabled by default, but users can turn it on by heading over to the “Keyboard” option inside the Settings app. The developer version of iOS 16 is now available for download, the beta version is to be released next month while the final rollout of iOS 16 will be by Fall, likely alongside the upcoming iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro devices. The iOS 16 update will also be coming to only iPhones 8 and older devices.
