Analyst Says iPhone 13 Models May Include Same Wide-angle Lens As The iPhone 12

The iPhone 13 range is still quite a long way to its launch but it has been stirring a lot of rumours. According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo revealed that the iPhone 13 line-up may include same wide-angle lens as the iPhone 12 range, therefore giving what may be a sneak peek into the phone’s specifications. What Ming-Chi Kuo’s analysis may mean is that the incoming iPhone series might not see big improvements in terms of the wide-angle sensor aspect of the camera module.

For now, Apple has not released any official information confirming the spec of the imminent iPhone series, but as the saying goes, there’s always an iota of truth in every rumour or lie. Therefore, Ming-Chi Kuo might actually be right with his analysis. Since the year started, there have been quite a lot of rumours about the specifications of the next iPhone line-up. For instance, rumours have it that the incoming iPhone 13 line-up may feature an under-display touch ID. If the rumours about the Touch ID being included in the iPhone 13 are true, it means that users will be able to unlock their phones using an under display Touch ID. Recently, Apple had to create a feature that allows users to unlock their phones using their Apple smartwatch while wearing a facemask because it was quite hard to do so while wearing a face mask and considered ‘primitive’ to have to take off one’s facemask to use the Face ID unlock feature. Another rumour is that Apple might not be producing an iPhone 13 mini and backed by the fact that the company has cut down the production of its iPhone 12 mini due to poor sales. Other rumours about the iPhone 13 include that the series will have smaller-notch screen and larger batteries so that it will be able to stand up to its Android counterpart in terms of screen size and large battery.

The iPhone 13, iPhone 13 pro, iPhone 13 pro max and iPhone 13 mini (if Apple decides to make this) may have the same 7P wide-angle lens with f/1.6 aperture that the iPhone 12 line-up has, according to Ming-Chi Kuo in his investor note which also specified that the series’ wide-angle lens order will be provided by Sunny Optical.

For now, all these rumours about the iPhone 13 series remain rumours but quite a handful of them can be taken seriously.
