LinkedIn, the professional networking powerhouse, recently rolled out an extensive redesign for its desktop website, promising an improved user experience for its 400 million plus users. Keeping in step with its mobile counterpart, which reportedly accounts for about 60 percent of its usage, the update brings over a slew of highly-requested features and a sleek, modern UI overlay. The refresh, quickly becoming a talking point within circles of tech enthusiasts, is deemed the “most substantial redesign since the company’s inception.”

Right off the bat, users can expect to find a revamped profile page that sports a contemporary aesthetic. Two images below offer a side-by-side view of the old and new design, providing a clear visual reference to the update.

The homepage has also undergone a major facelift, now displaying a refreshing and user-friendly layout.

In addition to the visual upgrades, LinkedIn has introduced several significant changes aimed at making the platform more engaging and easier to use. A standout feature includes the option to upload profile pictures, designed to grab the attention of potential recruiters. Moreover, adopting familiar social media practices, LinkedIn now incorporates an in-messaging tool, evocative of Facebook Messenger. This feature is designed to sit in the lower-right corner of your screen, allowing seamless simultaneous navigation and conversation on the platform.

This sweeping redesign represents LinkedIn’s commitment to innovate and adapt, ensuring the platform remains an indispensable tool for professionals across the globe.
