Nearpays has reportedly won the cash prizes of the most coveted international awards and technology conference in Marrakech, Morocco which offers the limelight/recognition and incentive to reward the FinTech start-up of the priority race in the Gitex Africa. The inaugural tech conference Gitex campaign in Africa was challenging enough to acknowledge Nearpays as the winner within the FinTech and Blockchain Technology category.

The Gitex Africa winner of the FinTech-inclined category hails from Nigeria which made the competition quite challenging for partisans to determine the best amongst every start-up company that was present in Morocco. The payment platform’s coveted award has made Nigeria significant on the map of Africa likewise earning the country’s representative the $10,000 cash prize for sweeping Gitex Africa off its feet with FinTech innovation.

The Supernova Challenge is Gitex Africa’s marquee startup pitch competition, awarding $10,000 in cash prizes across categories like Cybersecurity, AI & Digital Cities, Health Tech, Sustainability & Agritech—and, in the Fintech & Blockchain track, Nearpays distinguished itself by demonstrating robust end-to-end payments and blockchain integration.

Regardless of the E2E e-payment capitalist infrastructure Nearpays developed to be the coveted awardee in Marrakech, Gitex Africa issued incentive for the FinTech start-up also serves as a channel to endorse the Nigerian FinTech start-up to attain accelerated growth.

Although the tech conference event Gitex led is not an accelerator program for start-ups, its $10,000 sponsorship will impact Nearpays growth to acquire more investment either from venture capitalists, accelerator programs, angel investors, and other forms of investment.

On bagging the Gitex Africa cash prize, Nearpays founder Victor Daniyan shared complimentary remarks about the hard work he imbibed into developing the E2E e-payment platform which currently has a $10,000 net value and is powered by Gitex Africa.

“I’m super excited that it brings opportunities for start-ups in Nigeria, and we all have access to a better future. It shows that we can get to the top with the right platform,” Daniyan said.

Daniyan’s comment about his start-up company’s coveting the cash price in Marrakech denotes the FinTech start-up ticket to bypass the technology gateway to access an altered e-payment platform likewise demanding a heightened workforce. The Gitex Africa Supernova Challenge is the biggest pitch competition in Africa, with a total cash prize of $100 000 for categories such as Cybersecurity, AI and Digital Cities, Health Tech, and Sustainability Agritech.
