As the AI company threatens Google’s dominance in the online search market, OpenAI started releasing a new ChatGPT Search update on June 13 in an effort to boost quality.

A significant update to ChatGPT Search has been released by the IT giant, making it more intelligent and effective.

Having been in operation for approximately a year, ChatGPT Search enables users to do more efficient web searches than Google.

The tool, which was released over the weekend, can now comprehend complex inquiries, handle image-based searches, and have lengthier conversations.

It attempts to condense information from websites to offer concise responses and provides citations so you can verify all the information.

Improvements to ChatGPT’s search functionality are particularly important since, with around 177 million daily users, it has emerged as a major AI platform for information access.

In the first announcement post for ChatGPT Search, OpenAI stated, “This combines the advantages of a natural language interface with the value of current sports scores, news, stock quotes, and more.”

BleepingComputer noticed updated release notes indicating that ChatGPT Search can now offer more thorough, current responses. This means that users now will receive more comprehensive, multi-source responses that are clearer and of higher quality. It is also designed to be used for fact-checking web material summaries with the sources that are linked to it.

With more insightful and thorough responses to nearly every topic, the new feature enhances the online search experience.

It can now automatically do multi-step searches that provide answers to complicated queries and allow users to search the web using uploaded photographs.

The company discovered that customers prefer these modifications over the prior search experience, albeit OpenAI will not disclose how it enhanced ChatGPT Search.

You may anticipate that ChatGPT Search will respond more intelligently, comprehend your questions better, and offer more thorough answers following the June 13 update.

Additionally, it can retain longer talks, which enhances search engine results. This search engine results creates a more engaging and capable experience, particularly for individuals who are looking for visible results.

Despite the revolutionary changes, OpenAI cautions that ChatGPT may still make mistakes.

“More robust ability to follow instructions, reduces repetitive responses significantly, especially in longer conversations,” according to OpenAI.

However, OpenAI cautions that ChatGPT may still make mistakes from time to time and requests that you double-check your responses, much like all other AI models, including Google Search’s AI Overviews.
