Rebranded Nokia 2720 V Flip With Google Map And LTE Network Is Launched

The Nokia 2720 V Flip that arrives in Finnish markets two years ago, is reportedly available for users based in the States. Although the device is built by HMD Global, still, its arrival in the US was made possible by Verizon. They rebranded the Nokia Flip as one of its variant remakes, that matches the tastes of its older customers.

HMD Global revealed the latest Nokia 2720 V Flip tweaked with Kai OS that supports HD calls and Verizon‘s LTE network. The rebranded Kai OS enabled Nokia Flip can also boast to function as a smartphone because its OS runs social apps that can be installed via its default Kai app catalogue — other default apps include, Google’s Map, Assistant, Messaging, etc.

Aside from reviving nostalgic Nokia 2720 V Flip to respond like a smartphone, Nokia has also developed series of smartphone which certifies their presence in the industry. They previously introduced Nokia Lumia with Windows OS — Lumia folded due to its complex UI. Nokia Android is currently their flagship smartphone.

Meanwhile, HMD on the other hand has been Nokia’s marketing tool to promote its brand. The Finnish tech company is responsible for introducing the Nokia Flip phones to America with a little touch of Verizon’s LTE tech — both Nokia and HMD represent the same Finnish tech industry.

Nokia’s flip semi-smart phone has both the interior and exterior display screen — the inner display has a 2.8-inch large display compared to the external display that is smaller with 1.3-inch — this screen displays caller ID and other notifications.

While the rebranded Nokia Flip with the alpha-numeric keys depicts nostalgia, including its navigation buttons, menu, and call keys. Nonetheless, the 2720 V Flip has a LED flash to bolster its 2MP rear camera.

The modified Nokia 2720 V Flip is built with Snapdragon’s chip that powers its battery life, storage, and processor. Snapdragon 205 chipset enables a 4GB-sized ROM storage, 512MB-sized RAM, and a 1500 mAh battery capacity.

The international version of this device will be available by May 20, and the price value is tagged $79.
