Samsung has ushered in a new era of computing, with the release of two groundbreaking Chromebook models – Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus. Uniquely equipped to access Android apps directly from the Google Play Store, these models underscore the technology behemoth’s commitment to staying at the forefront of tech innovation.

Samsung’s Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus are the latest generation of touch-screen laptops, sporting a starting price of $449 or 215,000 Nigerian Naira. Each model tips the scales at a compact 1.08Kg. They also feature a built-in pen for note-taking, perfect for use with applications like Google Keep. Moreover, aspiring artists would be pleased to know that the pen works seamlessly with diverse drawing and sketching applications.

Set to hit the shelves in February, the new Chromebooks harness the extensive power of Google Chrome as an operating system. The table below provides a detailed breakdown of the Chromebook Pro and Chromebook Plus key specifications:

Included in the impressive roster of features for both models are 4GB LPDDR3 memory, 32GB e.MMC hard drive, and a sleek Platinum Silver color option. The immersive experience is rounded off with internal dual array digital microphones, stereo speakers, and a 720p HD camera for unrivaled multimedia capabilities.

When it comes to connectivity, Samsung does not disappoint. Both models support 802.11 ac (2×2) and Bluetooth v4.0, ensuring fast connectivity anywhere. A variety of ports are also conveniently located in each model, including a headphone/mic-in combo, two USB-C ports, and a Micro SD multi-media card reader.

User interaction is effortless, thanks to the intuitive clickpad, touch screen, and island-type keyboard inclusively integrated into these models. The inclusion of a pen for sketching and note-taking further accentuates Samsung’s attention to user-comfort and efficiency.

Powering these devices are efficient 30W USB-C™ Adapters and a 39Wh battery, ensuring prolonged performance for extensive usability.

These devices’ compact dimensions make them an excellent choice for users on-the-go. They measure 280.8 x 221.6 x 12.9 ~ 13.9mm, weighing merely 1.08kg (2.38lbs).

The pre-installed software can be changed if necessary, according to Samsung. Highlights include the AirDroid Premium (with a free one-year subscription for the full version) and the ArtCanvas application for budding and experienced artists to explore their creativity.

In measurement terms, the Chromebooks boast an accelerometer sensor and a gyro sensor, testament to Samsung’s commitment to delivering devices that are at par with evolving technological innovations.
