Samsung’s free smart TV Plus that supports ads while streaming live and linear programs is now available as a web version for desktop streaming. The tech company also allowed this TV service to be available for Chromecast users — Samsung smart TV Plus now supports casting.

Prior to the web version release, Samsung TV platforms has been exclusively reserved solely for its custom users, including its smartphone devices. For contrast,  the concept of Samsung’s streaming products was dedicated as an app, which was mostly used by mobile devices made by Samsung.

Now, this smart TV Plus update is available to global users for free, accessing Samsung’s streaming products via any platform,  including Apple’s Safari,  Google’s Chrome or Chromecast,  Mozilla, etc. With these little fanfare smart TV Plus is introducing to web users, it is expected to gain more stream numbers.

Still, Samsung is yet to drop announcements to confirm the web release of its smart TV — although a spokesman representing the tech company stealthily confirmed this update since Samsung streaming products have been in service for over five years from now that requires development.

As expected, this is another rivalry campaign, competing against the likes of Netflix, Pluto TV, Peacock, Plex, Roku Channel, and other streaming services currently trending ads integrated with TV streaming and freebies. So Samsung had to extend its services to other platforms outside its custom ecosystem.

Overtime,  Samsung smart TV Plus has attempted to evolve according to customers’ taste, serving 23 countries simultaneously with over i40 channels available for streaming. Extending Samsung’s streaming products depicts possible growth and user base resources to be rivalry fit.
