In an interview, the CEO of Getty Images, Craig Peters, stated, “I think that’s dangerous. It isn’t responsible, in my opinion. I believe it might be illegal.” Getty Photos is currently in a lawsuit against Stability AI, the company behind Stable Diffusion, another generative AI service, for using Getty’s images without its consent to train its AI.
