Snap Inc Hires First Global Head Of Platform Safety

Snap Inc. has appointed Jacqueline Beauchere as the first Global Head of Platform Security. The development comes as part of the company’s attempt to scale up efforts and actions geared towards providing improved consumer security and providing a bridge between the company and regulators, as the company alongside others continue to face increasing pressure from regulators.

Jacqueline Beauchere served as the Chief Online Safety Officer at Microsoft and her appointment as Snap Inc’s Global Head of Platform Security is a strategic move that signifies the company’s effort and willingness to work with regulators. The newly appointed Global Head will work with lawmakers and regulators and provide the company with advice on insurance policies and initiatives from regulators.

“We’re dedicated to serving to mother and father, stakeholders and advocates perceive how younger folks expertise our merchandise and the way we strategy vital points round security and belief”, Snap Inc’s Vice Chairman of Worldwide Coverage Jen Stout said regarding the alarms raised by security advocates and lawmakers in the US concerning the issues confronted by users of online platforms provided by companies like Snap Inc.

She also had a few things to say about Jacqueline Beauchere’s appointment. She said that “there isn’t anyone higher suited to assist us accomplish this than Jacqueline, and this work will solely turn into extra essential as we deepen our focus into augmented actuality and the way forward for computing”.

The appointment of Jacqueline Beauchere matters a lot because it shows that Snap Inc. is concerned and is making effort as well as investing in initiatives that will assure consumers of their safety and well-being. She will be in charge of all the company’s efforts around providing consumer safety and will provide advice regarding new policies and guidelines, features, and tools around safety and wellbeing. She will be, however, working under and reporting to the company’s Vice Chairman of Worldwide Coverage Jen Stout. She will also be working with the company’s internal teams that support SnapChat’s consumer safety and support.

It is pertinent to know that Jacqueline Beauchere is part of the growing list of senior executives that the company has poached from its biggest competitors. She promises to be the right choice as she has a track record of working in cyber safety in the technology industry.
