App Crash Concerns Arise Following iOS 9 Update

Amid the excitement of the latest Apple operating system upgrade, iOS 9, some users have reported experiencing a downside – app crashes. Initial complaints of these issues were documented by tech news portal CNET with many more echoing the same concerns in online forums.

To provide some context, let’s consider a few examples of user complaints found on the CNET website:

Twitter user @stephayson had this to say: “This iOS 9 update… App crashing and ugly fonts.”
Likewise, @Nycphoria_186 was not too pleased either: “Y’all updated to iOS 9 for the extra hour of battery but you’ll regret it when it starts getting laggy and crashing.”
Finally, @bananza reported: “Outlook app is crashing after iOS 9 update. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get it to work again.”

As someone who also hopped onto the iOS 9 bandwagon, it was, for the most part, a seamless experience. However, I did encounter a minor problem. Upon scanning my device for the newly-introduced News app, I couldn’t find it anywhere. It was only on my third restart that the app decided to pop back into existence. Despite this quick hiccup, my apps have not yet crashed – a sentiment I believe might resonate with the majority of users out there.

With or without the app-crash issue, the new iOS 9 upgrade certainly brings a host of enhancements, including a sleek new font. If you’re keen to elevate your Apple experience, make sure to grab this update.

If app crashes are causing you trouble, take a step back and check if an update for the problematic app is available. Being a newer operating system, some apps might not have adapted to the parameters of iOS 9. Should an escalating number of users report app crashes, Apple will likely offer a universal solution in the form of a more stable version upgrade. Don’t fret, though. It’s not unusual for software to experience growing pains upon initial releases.

Needless to say, keeping up-to-date with the latest versions of an operating system is vital – especially when they come from a renowned tech powerhouse like Apple.

While we face these little hiccups, remember that the overall aim of an update is to enhance user experience and Apple will surely be working hard on any needed fixes. So, stay optimistic, keep up with the updates, and savour all the added perks with your iOS 9 upgrade.
