1. ClamWin Free Antivirus

ClamWin Free Antivirus, exclusive to the Windows platform, leverages the widely acclaimed ClamAV engine to counteract viruses and spyware. This application also boasts features such as a Microsoft Outlook plug-in and automated updates.

2. ClamAV

This open-source solution, powered by the Clam Antivirus engine, is designed primarily to protect email gateways. Its key features include command line scanners and automatic updates. ClamAV is compatible with Linux, Unix, and BSD platforms.

3. Moon Secure Antivirus

Moon Secure Antivirus, an open-source software based on ClamAV, operates on the Windows platform. Despite its roots in ClamAV, developers often opt for an alternative antivirus engine.

4. Rootkit Hunter

Rootkit Hunter, an open-source tool, is utilized to scan for rootkits and other potentially harmful software. Though real-time or scheduled scanning isn’t available, running Rootkit Hunter daily is strongly advised. This application supports Linux and Unix platforms.

5. AMaVis

9. xpy

xpy, a compact application weighing only 60KB, augments your PC’s performance and security by sealing vulnerabilities that might permit spyware intrusion. This program is specifically designed for Windows-based systems.

10. Nixory

Nixory is an open-source tool designed to bolster Firefox user protection. In addition to resisting unwanted spyware and cookies, it synchronizes with other anti-spyware programs for all-around security.
