Truecaller Surpasses 100 Million Users: Explore Their Exciting New Features

Truecaller, the innovative Swedish startup, proudly announced it has reached a major milestone: it now boasts over 100 million users worldwide. This revelation coincides with the exciting introduction of a plethora of new features, set to enhance the user experience. Android users will enjoy exclusive first access to the features, with an iOS roll-out planned for early next year.

Thrust onto the stage in 2009, Truecaller has been instrumental in helping users dispel the annoyance of spam, or “nuisance” calls, from across the spectrum of telecommunications. This nifty app enables users to blacklist numbers, successfully blocking further communication. The effectiveness of this tool has been underscored by its exponential growth. Just two months ago, the app raked in an impressive $60 million (or an astounding 10,802,985,945.32 Naira) in funding.

With its user base steadily expanding, Truecaller has ramped up its offerings with some compelling new features. Here’s a sneak peek:

1. Call Prediction: The app will anticipate your next call based on your established call pattern. For instance, if you frequently dial Janet’s number on Wednesday evenings, you’ll find her name featured in the “suggested” tab every Wednesday night. This ingenious feature streamlines your calling experience, while also serving as a timely reminder for your routine calls.

2. Improved Contact Accessibility: Engaging with your contacts is about to get more convenient. With the upcoming feature, you can simply swipe left on a contact to text them, and swipe right to call them — all without leaving the app.

3. Social Media Integration: Truecaller will ensure your contact list stays current by importing data such as photos from your contacts’ social media profiles, keeping you up-to-date with your network’s latest snapshots.

It’s important to note that Truecaller’s impressive user tally counts app installations rather than active users. Regardless, the impact of Truecaller can hardly be overstated. The rapid growth and wide reach of the app – whether you personally use it or know someone who does – offer a testament to the success and influence of the startup. To date, the company has accrued a remarkable $80 million (or 14,403,981,260.42 Naira) in funding to fuel its operations.
