Truecaller latest report reveals its keenness to curb scam operations by unmasking anonymous caller identities on smartphones and other smart devices on the internet. The tech company reports introducing its caller identity technology on WhatsApp messenger to hover around technology innovation per significant integration.
Despite WhatsApp’s user ID technology embedded in the messenger app to ID other WhatsApp users, Truecaller’s caller ID technology will identify possible spam calls or text messages on the messenger. The caller ID has reportedly embedded its ID utility into the internet which enhances its capability to identify spammed calls or texts via the internet as Truecaller incorporates with WhatsApp.
Truecaller’s chief executive, Alan Mamedi shared comments that reveal work in progress, whereby the caller ID technology is currently in WhatsApp beta exploring the messenger app. The caller ID CEO said being able to unmask and block spam on WhatsApp will be accessible sooner than later as progress continue to entice users about the upcoming feature.
However, WhatsApp promises to roll out the caller ID to feature on its messenger app before the countdown to the end of May elapses. This denotes that the messenger app is also keen on curbing the skyrocketed occurrences of fraud spammed to victimize other innocent users.
The Truecaller incorporation with the messenger app will alter WhatsApp’s innovation in identifying the real user behind unsaved contacts spamming for attention. This caller ID utility will serve as an optimal technology when WhatsApp rolls out the feature for African users.
