VAIO Corporation, a spin-off company from Sony, is set to unveil a state-of-the-art device in line with Microsoft’s aggressive move to expand their share in the mobile operating system market. Aptly named the VAIO Phone Biz, this Windows-powered smartphone has already stirred excitement in tech circles due its innovative design and high-performing features. Images of the device have been released to the public, hinting at its imminent debut. The phone is expected to hit the Japanese market sometime next month before venturing into other international markets.

The VAIO Phone Biz boasts an impressive array of features and specifications that certainly raises the bar for Windows-run phones. It is powered by an Octacore 1.5Ghz Snapdragon 617 processor and shows off a hefty 3GB of RAM. It’s not just a powerhouse in performance, it also offers a stunning visual experience with its High Definition screen. However, tech enthusiasts will have to wait for the official announcement later today to uncover more about this promising device.

Since [Microsoft’s launch of its new Lumia phone](https://www.techbooky.com/post-title/microsoft-unveils-its-first-ever-laptop-along-with-new-lumia-phones/) last October, the company has admittedly experienced a significant sales drop, nearly 49 percent. This begs the question: Why would VAIO venture into a market where even giant Microsoft has had a falter?

One possibility is the fresh and user-friendly nature of Windows 10, the latest iteration of Microsoft’s operating system. It has been received positively by most users and may potentially attract a larger audience to VAIO’s new device. We will likely gain more insights into this strategic move when the company officially announces the phone later today.
