The platform’s recent public beta tester rollout suggests that it is getting ready for a broader deployment in the upcoming weeks or months.
Only beta testers who have downloaded the most recent version of WhatsApp beta for Android from the Google Play Store are able to use this new functionality at this time. Over the coming weeks, WhatsApp will progressively expand its user base.
