According to online sources, the two-step verification feature for WhatsApp will appear in the desktop and web versions in a future update. As seen in a screenshot the two-step verification feature can be enabled or disabled on the WhatsApp web and desktop version. Two-step verification is already available on the mobile app version where a personal PIN must be entered when registering your phone number with WhatsApp. The app also randomly makes a request for the PIN, just to be certain it’s the user, the user is expected to input PIN in other to proceed.

The instant messaging service has proven to make life a lot easier, as many users rely on it to stay connected with friends, family and loved ones within and outside their immediate environment. WhatsApp uses the internet to send messages, images, audio or video. The service is very similar to text messaging services, however, because WhatsApp uses the internet to send messages, the cost of using WhatsApp is significantly less than texting. One of the main uses that continue to supersede all others is the fact that it saves you’re the cost that comes along with making international calls. Before the invention of the instant messaging service, the challenge of staying connected to loved ones especially living abroad was an issue, WhatsApp onboarded and took that burden away. Now just by a few dials on the app, and a reasonable amount of data, you are good to go.
