Xiaomi has used the run-up to Mobile World Congress in Barcelona to unveil a broad hardware refresh, led by its camera-centric Xiaomi 17 Ultra flagship and joined by a Leica-branded special edition, new accessories, an AirTag-style tracking tag, a wafer-thin magnetic power bank, a smartwatch, earbuds and even an electric scooter.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is positioned as a photography-focused flagship co-branded with Leica. The partnership brings Leica lenses and software filters designed to echo the German camera maker’s visual style.

The main camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.67 aperture and a 1-inch sensor. The standout, though, is a 200-megapixel telephoto camera with a variable focal length equivalent to 75mm–100mm, enabling optical zoom between 3.2x and 4.3x. A 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.2 aperture rounds out the rear trio.

Xiaomi fits the 17 Ultra with a 6,000mAh battery, while the Chinese variant gets a larger 6,800mAh cell. The phone supports 90W USB PD-PPS wired charging and 50W wireless charging via Xiaomi’s Hypercharge system.

On the front, the device carries a 6.9-inch Xiaomi HyperRGB OLED display, protected by the company’s Shield Glass 3.0. Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, the same chip used in Samsung’s recent Galaxy S26 series, according to Xiaomi.

Xiaomi is also releasing a Leica edition of the phone to mark Leica’s 100th anniversary. This version features an aluminum-alloy body with a nickel-anodized finish and a Leica-inspired software theme. A rotating ring on the device is designed to mimic zoom control on a physical camera. The Leica edition introduces a “Leica Essential mode” with filters aimed at recreating the look of photos from Leica’s M9 and M3 cameras.

To support more serious mobile photography, Xiaomi is adding two clip-on accessories for the 17 Ultra:

  • Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit: A Bluetooth snap-on grip with a two-stage shutter button and a dedicated video recording button.
  • Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit Pro: A more advanced USB‑C snap-on accessory with a leather-like finish, video recording button, detachable shutter button and zoom control. It includes a 2,000mAh battery for its own operation and unlocks a new fastshot mode on the phone.

Xiaomi is expanding availability of these phones and camera add-ons to the EU and UK. Pricing is as follows:

  • Xiaomi 17: from €999
  • Xiaomi 17 Ultra: from €1,499
  • Leica edition (16GB RAM, 1TB storage): €1,999
  • Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit: €99.99
  • Xiaomi 17 Ultra Photography Kit Pro: €199.99

Beyond phones, Xiaomi used the occasion to push deeper into its wider hardware ecosystem, covering mobility, wearables, audio and everyday accessories.

AirTag-style Xiaomi tag

Xiaomi introduced a compact tracking tag that works with both Apple’s Find My network and Google’s Android Find My Device (referred to as Android Find Hub by Xiaomi). Designed as a cross-platform locator accessory, the tag weighs 10 grams and is powered by a button cell battery that Xiaomi says lasts over a year.

Users can trigger a sound on the tag remotely to locate it or the item it is attached to. The tag is priced at €14.9 for a single unit and €49.99 for a four-pack.

Ultra-slim magnetic power bank

Xiaomi also launched an ultra-slim power bank that measures just 6mm thick and weighs 98 grams. Despite the thin profile, it carries a 5,000mAh battery. It delivers up to 22.5W charging via wired connection and up to 15W wirelessly.

The bank is magnetic, allowing it to attach to compatible phones, including iPhones, for wireless charging. Pricing is set at €59.99 for black and silver versions, with an orange variant at €64.99.

Xiaomi Watch 5

The new Xiaomi Watch 5 brings a 930mAh battery that can last up to six days, according to the company. It features a round 1.54-inch AMOLED display and supports gesture controls for dismissing calls or alarms.

On the health side, the watch can generate a “health report” in 60 seconds using a range of metrics including heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels, sleep duration, sleep heart rate and sleep SpO₂. The Watch 5 is priced at €299.99.

Electric Scooter 6 Ultra

Rounding out the mobility side, Xiaomi announced the Electric Scooter 6 Ultra. The scooter has 1,200W peak power and a claimed range of 75km. It rides on 12-inch all-terrain tyres and is equipped with front and rear disc brakes.

A three-inch TFT display on the handlebar provides at-a-glance data such as speed and remaining range. The lineup starts at €329.99 across five versions, with the top model priced at €799.99.

Redmi Buds 8 Pro

For audio, Xiaomi unveiled the Redmi Buds 8 Pro. The true wireless earbuds support active noise cancellation and offer up to 33 hours of battery life. They are priced at €69.9.
