In the quest to top global smartphone ranking, Xiaomi joins the list of smartphone makers to record massive sales, Techbooky writes. The Chinese smartphone maker has reportedly beat the likes of Apple and Samsung surpassing these tech giant market sales focusing on June MoM market analysis.

Per Counterpoint Research that focused on month-over-month analysis that revealed the previous June favoured Xiaomi which recorded the Chinese OEM smartphone maker as its first time to surpass other significant manufacturers who have iteratively maintained high sales.

Prior to June, Samsung has always sold more of its products, reserving the second position for Apple — although iPhones are the most recognized brand of smartphones. Xiaomi is currently on the verge as it surpasses both the American and the Korean smartphone OEM brands which depicts a remarkable performance.

Per month-over-month analysis since 2021, Counterpoint Research revealed Xiaomi experienced its fastest growth leading global device sales with 26%. Techbooky suggests the Chinese smartphone maker’s current sales boom is likely to yield a temporary effect whereby the likes of Samsung and Apple are likely to bounce back from its sales setbacks

Samsung’s current dip in device sales is influenced by the regulatory restrictions with concerns over COVID-19 impact in general. The Korean smartphone OEM brand cannot access its supplies network in Vietnam.

It is worth noting that Samsung has been trying to resolve the restriction before its flagship Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3 rollout. The next foldable gadgets Samsung launches are expected to place the Korean smartphone OEM brand back to its position as the most sold smartphone.

Xiaomi’s latest ranking depicts the Chinese tech industry is in its prime and plays a vital role in the global tech sector. Xiaomi’s Redmi series has reportedly bolstered the Chinese smartphone maker sales with 17% month-over-month growth for June 2021.

Counterparts Research revealed Redmi series aggressively influenced Xiaomi sales in India — Samsung’s Galaxy A-series has reportedly declined with sales in India due to its factories based in Vietnam can’t produce more devices because of the post-pandemic effect.

Meanwhile, the iPhone maker recently revealed its intent to distribute more than 90 million units of its next smartphone model for its global users which are expected to boost the sales of its devices as well. Apple’s month-over-month June report placed Apple in the third spot with 14.3% and Samsung comes in second with 15.7% MoM for June.

Xiaomi is on the verge to replace the world’s most purchased devices whereby 2021 is a favourable business year for the Chinese smartphone OEM. With this impressive sales record, other Chinese OEM smartphone maker such as Huawei is expected to bounce back as well since its US sanctions have been lifted.
