SendBaba, a Lagos-based enterprise email marketing platform, has officially launched to provide African businesses an alternative to dominant global email services like SendGrid, Mailchimp, and Brevo. Founded by Prince Darlington, the platform is built entirely on African-owned infrastructure, offering local pricing and support tailored to the unique needs of the continent’s market.

Unlike international competitors that route African business data through foreign servers, SendBaba manages its own dedicated IP addresses and SMTP infrastructure. This approach enhances email deliverability and ensures greater control and security over customer data by keeping it within Africa.

SendBaba supports a comprehensive range of email marketing capabilities including marketing campaigns, transactional emails, and automated messaging, addressing the communication demands of sectors such as e-commerce, financial services, and technology. The platform processes hundreds of thousands of emails daily through its dedicated network.

A key differentiator for SendBaba is its incorporation of AI-powered features designed to boost content generation and improve campaign effectiveness. These innovations aim to give African businesses access to cutting-edge marketing tools without the premium costs typically charged by international SaaS providers.

With tiered pricing denominated in Nigerian Naira, SendBaba targets startups and SMEs, making enterprise-grade email marketing more accessible. The platform also offers a free tier, enabling new businesses to begin using its services with minimal barriers.

Prince Darlington emphasized the motivation behind SendBaba: “African businesses have been paying premium prices in dollars for email services, with their data sitting on servers they don’t control. We built SendBaba to change that delivering world-class email infrastructure with local pricing and local support.”

By combining locally hosted technology infrastructure with AI enhancements and user-friendly pricing models, SendBaba is positioning itself as a homegrown solution capable of meeting Africa’s growing digital marketing needs.
