Reports coming out of the United States is that Elon Musk is now officially notifying Twitter that he would be terminating the deal to buy the micro blogging site.
Elon Musk had put the deal on hold because pending verification on real Twitter user base. Following that Twitter board expressed readiness to provide it and eventually approved the deal.
But the latest turn of events suggests that Elon Musk may have obtained the real figures or is now fed up with the Twitter board which some say may have been stalling on the deal.
In a filing with regulators on Friday, Musk says Twitter hasn’t “complied with its contractual obligations” over the issue of spam bots on the platform,” and as a result he would be pulling the plug on the deal.
This deal was viewed by analysts as Twitter’s best chance at profitability. The site according to Musk is not living up to its potentials and could easily have 1 billion users under new management.
Musk had teased a number of features should he have taken over.
Does this prove that Twitter has many bot users ? If Elon Musk says Twitter has not been forthcoming about user base, then could it be that many of the 350 million users are not actually real ?
