Gemini Hits 750M Monthly Active Users

Reaching over 750 million monthly active users, Google’s Gemini AI chatbot has achieved massive consumer adoption. The milestone, announced in the company’s Q4 2025 earnings, solidifies Gemini as a dominant player in the AI landscape.

Google announced 650 million monthly active users for Gemini last quarter, demonstrating significant growth in a brief amount of time. By contrast, Meta AI claims to have close to 500 million users per month. Even while Gemini is becoming more popular, it still lags behind ChatGPT, its main competitor, which is projected to reach 810 million MAUs by the end of 2025.

The newly disclosed figure follows the release of Gemini 3, the business’s most sophisticated model to date, which offers answers that, according to the company, demonstrate an unparalleled degree of complexity and subtlety.

The launch of Gemini 3 in AI mode, according to CEO Sundar Pichai, was a “positive driver” for the company’s expansion. He also underlined that more investment and iteration will sustain this momentum.

Google just released Google AI Plus, a more cost-effective service that costs $7.99 a month. Although the plan was released too recently to have any impact on the quarterly numbers, it is anticipated to spur more growth by appealing to consumers who are cost-conscious.

During the call to investors, Google CEO Philipp Schindler stated, “We are seeing great growth and are focused on a free tier and subscriptions.”

Considering Alphabet’s overall financial performance, Gemini’s development is especially noteworthy. This quarter, the company’s yearly revenue reached $400 billion for the first time. Google credits the accomplishment to the growth of its AI business, which has seen a rise in demand. To compete with Nvidia, Google just unveiled Ironwood, the newest iteration of its TPU AI accelerator processor.

“We have a lot of momentum, and the launch of Gemini 3 was a significant milestone. The Gemini App now has over 750 million monthly active users, and our first-party models, such as Gemini, process over 10 billion tokens each minute via direct API access by our customers. In today’s publication, Pichai said, “Search saw more usage than ever before, with AI continuing to drive an expansionary moment.”

The important detail from the announcement is that the app’s MAUs increased from 650 million in October to 100 million in the final quarter of 2025.

There is an increased user interaction following the December launch of Gemini 3. Within four months of Gemini Enterprise’s launch, Google has sold more than 8 million paid tickets. Although Gemini is growing more quickly than many of its rivals, it lags behind ChatGPT’s projected 810 million MAUs. Google launched AI Plus, a $7.99/month subscription service.

Over 10 billion tokens are currently processed per minute via direct API usage of Gemini models, up from 7 billion in the previous quarter.
