Kwik Delivery – a Lagos-based delivery service has announced its expansion plans amidst the unveiling of new ambassadors – renowned Nigerian footballer Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocho and well-known female biker Fehintoluwa Okegbenle.

The company held the unveiling of its new ambassadors at the Lagos Marriot Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos and it was here that the company revealed its expansion plans to Abuja. Still in its nascent stage, Kwik delivery has done well setting up in Lagos. The signing of its new ambassadors is aimed at boosting its expansion plans as well as winning the hearts of potential customers. Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha is a former professional footballer and has influenced a lot of Nigerian brands. Fehintoluwa Okegbenle is known for completing a trip from Lagos to Togo and then to Ghana and back again. She is also known as Nigeria’s first female biker to complete a challenge of 1,000 km of bike riding in a day known as the Ironbum Challenge. The event was attended by staff of the company, partners, guests, etc.

Described numerous times as the Uber of deliveries, Kwik Delivery was founded in 2019. It was borne out of the need to provide businesses with delivery solutions and help them maximize their operations. Kwik Delivery raised $1.7 million in funding earlier this year in March.

While the company’s CEO – Romain Poirot-lellig said that the decision to sign Austin Okocha and Fehintoluwa Okegbenle as ambassadors was because they were both representations of the company’s values and would want the public to always be reminded of that, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha described the deal as a heavenly-made arrangement. “Kwik Delivery is a game-changer for businesses and merchants in Nigeria especially those running their businesses online. It’s my pleasure to help Kwik raise its profile in Nigeria from today. To me, it’s like throwing a fish into the river’, Austin ‘Jay Jay’ Okocha said emphasizing that Kwik as a brand resonated with what he believed in as a person and a brand.

“As a biker, I constantly challenge myself to be creative. I’m proud to associate myself with Kwik which has shown creativity and dynamism in service delivery to its customers”, Fehintola Okegbenle said explaining that her business had suffered in the past as a result of bad delivery service and that she knew how important good delivery services like Kwik is.

Kwik’s expansion to Abuja promises to be an impactful and successful one. Currently, the company boasts of over a hundred thousand downloads from Google PlayStore and claims to have served more than seventy thousand businesses.
